The General Manager of Nguiyama Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Aisami Ali Fantami, has unveiled a wide-ranging empowerment initiative in Yobe State aimed at boosting economic opportunities and reducing youth vulnerability to crime.

The programme, launched at his office in Damaturu, featured substantial cash donations and gifts targeted at different groups within the community.

The empowerment packages included:

Five motorcycles distributed to beneficiaries.

Twenty small business owners, each receiving ₦100,000 to strengthen and expand their enterprises.

Thirty-two social media influencers granted ₦50,000 each for data and airtime to promote the policies and programmes of the state government under Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Twenty close associates awarded ₦200,000 each to start new businesses.

Eleven individuals supported with ₦1 million each to enhance commercial activities across major markets in the state.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Fantami urged other philanthropists and politicians to support youth and small-scale entrepreneurs, stressing that such efforts would complement government initiatives.

According to him, the gesture was motivated by appreciation for Governor Buni’s leadership.

> “We are doing this out of happiness for what Governor Mai Mala Buni has done for us. He is our relative, mentor, father, and brother. By assisting those in need, we reduce the burden on his government and contribute to the state’s development,” he said.

He further advised all beneficiaries to use the resources responsibly and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
