About 400 women petty traders and small-scale medium business owners have received cash empowerment to boost their businesses as a result of the current economic challenges.
The beneficiaries promised to make judicious use of the money, inject it into their businesses and assist their various families at this time.
The empowerment by Aisha Lemu, the coordinator of political mobilisation was held at Lemu town of Ggbako local government area of the state.
According to Lemu, the aim is to contribute to the welfare of women and support their businesses.
Amina Abubakar, who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries, said the gesture will assist their businesses.
Other speakers at the empowerment called on other wealthy individuals to assist the less privileged, especially women, in this harsh economic situation.
The beneficiaries, therefore, called on other wealthy individuals to assist women, especially in this trying time to take care of their families.
