Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Meets with Emir in Lagos, Also Attends 10th Policy Dialogue on Women Entrepreneurship

The Honourable Commissioner, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani HOD, Technical Adviser to the Ministry Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, and some Directors of the Ministry, met with Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano, in his Lagos residence.
During the meeting, they deliberated on the 2025 planned humanitarian interventions trust fund and bank for poverty alleviation, and received valuable advice from the Emir.
They also discussed achieving sustainable development goals in Kano State, particularly in reducing poverty, child mortality rates, and school dropout numbers.
The Honourable Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Emir for the opportunity to meet and for the warm welcome.
In another development, the Honourable Commissioner attended the 10th Policy Dialogue Series on Women Entrepreneurship, organized by the Fate Foundation institute.
The theme, “Shaping the future of women Entrepreneurship for the next decade,” aligns with the Ministry’s goals.
At the event, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani discussed women entrepreneurship in Kano State and Nigeria.
Notably, she highlighted the Executive Governor’s initiative providing 5,000 women with 50,000 Naira monthly.
The Honourable Commissioner urged men to support women in their businesses, emphasizing encouragement and collaboration for success.
