The Kano State Government said it’s committed and working assiduously with relevant associations, groups for the overall improvement of the living standard of the teeming people in the state.
The outgoing State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change Rt. Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo who was recently transferred to the Ministry for Special Duties, made the disclosure at the first edition Annual Public Lecture Series, and award Ceremony, for African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, held at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, with the theme: Appraising the 11 years Journey of AU Agenda 2063 and the way forward.
Garo who was among the nominees who were conferred with the title of Ambassador, expressed appreciation to Almighty Allah and the AU Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly for finding him worthy to be among the few who secured this rear privilege.
He further explained that, this gesture would certainly serve as a moral booster to him to continue to do more in his capacity for the good people of Kano State, and praise Governor Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf for giving him an opportunity to contribute his wealth of experience, in his administration and pledge to do more in his new Ministry for the overall development of Kano State.
In his welcome address the head of Mission African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassadorial Assembly, Amb. Dr. Stephen Gbatigbi Ben-Joel said the purpose of the lecture was to appraise the 11 years Journey of AU Agenda 2063 and to chart the way forward. This theme is both timely and profound encapsulating the essence of our collective mission as an assembly. Our role is multifaceted evaluating and analyzing progress said the head of mission.
He further explained that African Union Agenda recognized Nasiru Garo in view of his outstanding performance and achievements and competence to champion the AU Agenda 2063, this and many other considerations.
