The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, was involved in a minor car accident earlier this evening along the Daura–Katsina road, while on official duty.
The incident occurred as the governor was on his way to inspect and oversee ongoing government projects aimed at improving the lives of citizens across the state.
This was confirmed in an official statement released on Sunday by the governor’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed.
According to the statement:
> “We are pleased to inform the general public that His Excellency, the Governor, is safe and in stable condition. He did not sustain any serious injuries, and he is resting well.”
The statement further called on the public to remain calm and continue to support the government’s development agenda. It emphasized that Governor Radda remains committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Katsina State.
Sources close to the governor confirmed that members of his convoy were also unharmed and that the governor has resumed his engagements following a brief medical check-up.
